United Nations: The Lon Nol government has once again managed to hold its seat in the United Nations, but victory for Phnom Penh was by the narrowest of margings and said more for the tactics of the General Assembly heavies than genuine concern for the plight of the people of Cambodia. For the poloitical connoisseur, the nine-hour debate in the assembly hall proved a veritable delight. Memories were stretched to the limit to recall any occasion when antagonists have been so inventive.
