Oeung Sophat confessed that on 6 April 1974, he joined the revolution at District 18 Office. After that, he stayed at M-17, working as a militiaman of district 18 and the army at cell 117. In cell 117, he was ordered by Im Thi and Chen Han to hide guns to kill cadre of cell 117, convince soldiers at cell 117 to flee home. Angkar collected guns and bullets. Sophat gave Angkar one, but kept one. After that, Angkar searched for guns in bags of Sophat. Accordingly, Angkar made his arrest.
ឈ្មោះអឿង សូផាត បានឆ្លើយសារភាពថាៈ នៅថ្ងៃ៦-៤-១៩៧៤ ចូលបដិវត្ដនៅមន្ទីរស្រុក ១៨។ បន្ទាប់មកនៅម-១៧ធ្វើឈ្លប ស្រុក១៨និងចូលកងទ័ពនៅកង ១១៧។ នៅកង ១១៧ ត្រូវបាន ឈ្មោះ អ៊ឹម ធិ, ចិន ហាន ចាត់តាំងឱ្យលាក់កាំភ្លើងដើម្បី សម្លាប់កម្មាភិបាលកង ១១៧, បំផុសយុទ្ធជននៅកង ១១៧ឱ្យរត់ទៅផ្ទះ។ អង្គការបានប្រកាសប្រមូលកាំភ្លើងគ្រាប់កិប សូផាត បានជូនអង្គការមួយទុកមួយ។ ក្រោយមកអង្គការបាន ឆែកឆេឃើញកាំភ្លើងកិបនៅក្នុងបាឡូរបស់សូផាត រួចហើយអង្គការ ចាប់ខ្លួនតែម្ដង។
