Vientiane: The political spotlight recently shifted from Vientiane to the pathet Lao headquarters in Sam Neua as Lao Patriotic Front (LPF) leaders travelled back for an important but mysterious-political meeting. Three of the most powerful Pathet Lao leaders were there : the president of the joint national political council, prince Souphanouvong, foreign minister and deputy prime minister Phoumi Vongvichit and a senior LPF representative in Vientiane, Sanan Soutichak.
