The Unites States Government, during a five hours visit to Phnom Penh by vice-president Spire Agnew, revealed its political ignorance by demending that Lon Nol invite Sirik Matak and In Tam to higer positions in his government so that the liberation fighters led by Royal Government of National Union, would sense, somehow, a more democratic scale of government and would find a cease-fire more palatable.
