Pen Sophal, 25, chief of company, was a native of Svay Rieng District, Svay Rieng Province. Sophal joined the Vietnamese army in 1970. In 1971, Sophal ran off into Vietnam and came back to Cambodia under the leadership of Sok. Sok assigned Sophal to Battalion 26 under the direction of Yien and Chhiev. Between 1972 and 1975, Yien and Chhiev assigned Sophal to intrude into unit 26 to expand forces,to convince soldier to counter the revolutionary movement, to flee home, and leave weapons in Prey Khla village. After that, Yien and Chhiev assigned Sophal to infiltrate into unit 502 to induce soldiers to counter the revolution, provoke internal conflict, and prepare July 1976 plans to destroy important warehouses locating in Pochentong.
ឈ្មោះប៉ែន សុផល អាយុ ២៥ ឆ្នាំ ប្រធានកងអនុសេនាធំ កើតនៅស្រុកស្វាយរៀង ខេត្ដស្វាយរៀង បានចូលកងទ័ព ជាមួយវៀតណាមនៅឆ្នាំ១៩៧០។ ១៩៧១ សុផលរត់ ចេញពីវៀតណាមមកនៅខាងខ្មែរវិញក្រោមការដឹកនាំរបស់ សុក។ សុកបានចាត់តាំងសុផលឱ្យមកនៅវរសេនាតូច ២៦ក្រោមការដឹកនាំ របស់យៀននិងឈៀវ។ ១៩៧២-១៩៧៥ យៀននិងឈៀវអប់រំ សុផលឱ្យបំរើសកម្មភាពខ្មែរសេរីឱ្យបង្កប់ក្នុងអង្គភាព២៦ដើម្បីពង្រីក កម្លាំង ឃោសនាយុទ្ធជនឱ្យប្រឆាំងចលនាបដិវត្ដ ចលនាយុទ្ធជន ឱ្យរត់ទៅផ្ទះ ឱ្យរត់ចោលអាវុធក្នុងសមរភូមិព្រៃខ្លា។ ក្រោយមកយៀននិងឈៀវចាត់តាំងសុផលមកបង្កប់ក្នុងកង៥០២ ដើម្បីធ្វើសកម្មភាពចលនាយុទ្ធជនឱ្យប្រឆាំងបដិវត្ដ បង្កឱ្យមានទំនាស់ ផ្ទៃក្នុង ត្រៀមចាំផែនការខែ៧-១៩៧៦ ដើម្បីកំទេចឃ្លាំងសំខាន់ៗ ដែលមាននៅពោធិ៍ចិនតុង។
