Summary / Abstract :

Just like the "Vietnamization" of the war in South Vietnam the "intensified special war" in Lao is a passivshift of US strategy. It is no indication that the US imperialists are in a winning posture, but shows the great obduracy of those who forced into ablind alley, do not yet accurately appraise the strength of their opponent while overrating their own, and who compelled to restreat, still want to withdraw on a position of strength. That is why the US imperialists cannot ward off defeat, far from recapturring the initaitive, they have landed in a greater quandary.
