The situation in Cambodia has been going from bad to worce for Nixon and his placement Lon Nol and Sarik Matak. Operation Chenal 2, noisly launched by the end of August along highway No. 6 has sofar brough only bitter setbacks to 70 battalions of the Phnom Penh regime (20,000 men), and above all to those who command and pay them.
