The Thai armed forces near the Thailand-Cambodia border have been put on the alert since January 22, western sources reported. To justify this move the Thai reactionaries alleged that "a great number of VCs and red Khmers had assembled near the Thailand frontier and might co-ordinate action against Thai government troops posted there.
