The government of the democratic republic of Vietnam protested on April 11 against US fress serious war escalation against North Vietnam. "since April 6, 1972,"the statement said "on order of president Nixon hundreds of US aircraft, including B-52 s, and ten of US warships of the 7 th flect have launched unceasing attacks against the Vinh Linh area, Quang Binh and Ha Thinh provinces and vinh city. The US aggressors have wantonly dropped bombs on villages and urban centres, causing many civilian casualties, destroying many houses.
