In mid-April, 1973 about thirty citizens deeply concerned about continuing U.S. involvement in Indochina met in Washington to compare notes and discuss future strategies. It was agreed that congressional termenation of the Cambodia bombing affered the best immediat chance for success and should be givien top priority by all interested groups around the country. The coalition to stop funding the war, located only one block from the capitol building, became the central clearing house organization. The friend committee on national legislation (FCNL), various shurch demominations, common cause, American for democratic action (ADA) and the Indochina resource center kept in daily contact with the caolion, feading it data and receiving the latest advice on legislative tacties.
