Summary / Abstract :
Washington-The American military presence in Vietnam has come to an end, but American involvement in Indochina is not necessarily over. About 8,500 American civilians employed by the defense department have remained behind in South Vietnam, most of them technicians whose job will be to train the South Vietnamese in the use of helicopters, fighter-bombers reader systems and computers and to keep this equipment in good repair.
