|
A wounded boy soldier, barely in his teens, sits on an ammunition box at an outpost on Highway 4, south-west of Phnom Penh, the Cambodian capital. He was wounded when government troops tried to reopen the road after it had been cut by Khmer Rouge insurgents. According to the government figures, about 1,000 of its troops have been killed and 5,000 wounded in the fight for Phnom Penh compared with 2,000 invaders killed or wounded.
