Summary / Abstract :
|
The lastest state department study of the Khmer Rouge is only ten pages long and assentially it is a summary of ignorance. Remarkable as it may seem, the communist-led rebels who stand on the verge of defeating Cambodia's government are still a major mystery to the west. Last week when the Khmer Rouge revealed that they had just held thier second national congress in Cambodia's "liberate zone" rebel broad casts did little more than list the group in attendance (down to "democratic women" and "patriotic monks") and call for the execution of President Lon Nol.
