A grand meeting attendend by more than 10,00 people was held in Phnom Penh, capital of democratic Kampuchea, On September 27 to warmly celebrate the 17th anniversary of the founding of the communist party of Kampuchea. At the meeting, Pol Pot, secretary of the C.P.K central committee, delivered an important speech formally announcing the party's existence to the country and the world.
