Cambodian President Khieu Samphan wound up a three-day celebration marking the first anniversary of the communist victory in his country with a nod of appreciation to the American people. Radio Hanoi, repeating a broadcast from official Radio Phnom Penh, said Samphan addressed a rally of "Over 10, 000 factoryworkers, peasants and soldiers" in Phnom Penh Saturday. It marked the first anniversary of the Khmer Rouge defeat of the U.S. backed regime in Cambodia.
