Controvery has erupted over the origin and authenticity of a series of photographs depicting Cambodians toiling in the fields under armed guard and claimed to have been taken in Battambang. The four pictures, which fell into the hands of a Thai newpapers early this month shortly before the election, allegedly show Cambodian peasants labouring in the fields under the watchful eyes of Khmer Rouge guards.
