Since an unsuccessful coup attempt in Thailand last March, there have been changes made in the country's power structure to consolidate the rule of Prime Minister Tanin Kraivixien's civilian government. Aseries of serious clashes with Cambodian troops on the country's eastern border, joint attacks with Malaysia against communists in the south and an escalating war with domistic insurgents seem to most Thai good reasons to ensure governmental stability.
