A year after setting up its first overseas trade mission, in Hong Kong, Cambodia has finally made its appearance in the international market with sales of small quantities of rice, rubber, kapok and pepper. In the first five months of this years, Phnom Penh exported US$ 154,000 worth of rice, rubber and kapok to Japan. Export to Hong Kong and singapore so far comprised crude rubber valued at US$ 142,000. Main exports are believed to be rice, rubber and pepper to China, North Korea, Laos and Malaysia but no firm data is available.
