Beaten hellow and relentlessly tracked down by the revolutionary armed forces, the routed Pol Pot troops have been driven into an increasingly desperate situation. After their fight from Phnom Penh, the Pol Pot reactionaries- who have been revived by their masters, the Peking reactionary authorities-have obstinately clung to the inaccessible mountainous region of Ta Sath, south-east of Battambang, and a dozen kilometres from the Thai border, in the hope of recerning out reinforcements.
