Summary / Abstract :
|
The Soviet Union, naturally enough, has it own special view of the hostilities in Indochina (opposite) and the continued high tension between Vietnam and China. In early November, Hanoi and Moscow signed a "Treaty of Friendship & Cooperation"which included a promise that each would help to repel any attack on the other. Since then, the Soviets have stepped up their propaganda assaults on behalf of the Vietnamese, charging that the Chinese are responsible for both the Cambodia-Vietnam conflict and the Sino-Vietnamese quarrel.
