Summary / Abstract :
The Vietnam-Kampuchea border conflict has been going on for more than three years. The scale of fighting between the two countries has widened in the past years. China which bases itseft on the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence consistently advocates settling international disputes through friendly consultation or by the method negotiation. It is opposed to recourse to force or the threat of force in these matters. In regards to the dispute between Vietnam and Kampuchea, China has always hoped that both sides will create conditions to settle it through negotiation.
