Hanoi home service described a trial of Vietnamese troops charged with stealing food in Cambodia. The troops diet was consist of salt, fat and shrimp poste, no vegetables were available. in consequence, many troops often volunteered to go on "so-called" operations against Pol Pot troops in order to have the oportunity to emulate one squad's "resourcefulness" in procuring vegetables, despite the risk of booby traps. The casualties so incurred had caused a real headach.
