China has put forward to non-communist countries in South-East Asia a proposal for a solution of the Vietnamese occupation of Kampuchea, calling for a new military force and eventually free elections. The proposal was put to Prime Minister Prem Tinsulanon and Singapore Prime Minister, Lee Kwan Yew, during their visit to Peking late last year, and has also been passed on to the other. ASEAN members.
