Son Sann, Chairman of the anti-communist Khmer People's National Liberation Front (KPNLF), said [on 26th February] he would not join the Kampuchean people's national front line against Vietnamese proposal by Prince Norodom Sihanouk in the event Sihanouk's proposal does not reflect the will of the Kampuchean people. Speaking at a meeting with Japanese correspondents in Kampuchea, he said in that case his Liberation Front would strive to establish separately an independent provisional government base on the UN resolution calling for early withdrawal of Vietnamese forces from Kampuchea.
