On last septembre 15, Van Tieu Hung, chief of the General Staff of the Vietnamese Army, accompagnied by some high officers arrived at Choam Khsan, Preah Vihea province, coming from Kantum by helicopter, in order to inspect the situation in this region and along the Kampuchea-Thai border, in view of the large-scale mopping up campaign during the forthcoming dry season.
