Bangkok: Analysts here expect Vietnamese Forces to launch their main dry-season sweep across western Kampuchea in late November or early December in a concerted effort to destroy the military and political framework of the ousted Khmer Rouge regime and independent resistance groups. But military experts seriously doubt their ability to achieve that goal, and point to setbacks suffered in central and northeastern Kampuchea where anti-Vietnamese resistance is probably strongest.
