On March 13, 1972, Ieng Saroeun, who served North Viet Cong as a group in charge of providing food to them, was arrested by national soldiers in Takeo operation region at Kea Thang pagoda. It was known that their position located in the East of Samrong Tong sub-district, Banteay Meas district, Kampot Province.
អៀង សារឿន បានចូលបម្រើក្នុងចលនាយៀកកុងយួនខាងជើង មានឋានៈជាមេក្រុម មានតួនាទីជាអ្នកផ្ដល់ស្បៀងឱ្យពួកវា។ សាម៉ីជន នេះត្រូវបានកងទ័ពជាតិផ្នែកសឹករងតាកែវ ចាប់ខ្លួនបាននៅ ថ្ងៃ ១៣ខែ មីនា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧២ នៅវត្ដគាថាង្ស។ ទីតាំងរបស់ពួកវាគឺនៅ ត្រង់ភូមិតាងើត សង្កាត់សំរោង ស្រុកបន្ទាយមាស ខេត្ដកំពត។
