There seems to be no end in sight for the confrontation between the five members of Asean and the Indochinese states. Asean said that it is willing to fight for years to get the Vietnamese out of Kampuchea and Vietnam says that it will wait for ever for the Asean Countries to accept its fait accompli.
រឿងនេះហាក់បីដូចជាគ្មានទីបញ្ចប់សម្រាប់ការពិភាក្សារវាងសមាជិកទាំង៥ របស់សហគមន៍អាស៊ាននិងរដ្ឋនៅតំបន់ឥណ្ឌូចិន។ សហគមន៍អាស៊ានបាននិយាយថាវានឹងត្រូវច្បាំងច្រើនដើម្បីឱ្យវៀតណាម ចេញពីកម្ពុជា ហើយវៀតណាមនិយាយថា យើងនឹងរងចាំប្រទេស សមាជិកអាស៊ានដើម្បីទទួលការសមេ្រច។
