Summary / Abstract :

Amid a new round of the debate over so-called yellow rain, the United Nations has taken the first step towards establishing a permanent mechanism to investigate and report on biological and chemical warfare allegations. Representaties of the World Organisation's 157 Member Governments have received a request from the UN secretariat for nominations of experts and laboratories qualified to conduct such inquiries.
