Stalemated diplomatically Vietnam has gone back to the battlefield in a effort to change the Ground Rules of the Cambodian chess game. The opening gambit was the January attack on the Khmer People's National 4 beration Front encampment at Nong Chan, the former so-called landbridge over which food and rice seeds flowed into western Cambodia in 1979-80.
