Summary / Abstract :
|
Richard Nixon is said to have pronounced that of the president's men, only Alexander Haig and John Connally were qualified to be president. Watergate Special Prosecutor Leo Jarvorski said that for a while Haig actually was "our 37 half th president." Haig does not conceal his ambition to be president. He ran, or at least limped, for president in 1980. No doubt he would run again if he thought he was a credible candidate.
