It was a close call, indeed for participants of the informal meeting on Cambodia in Jakarta almost agreed last Wednesday on a record of common understanding which could otherwise lead to a significant break through. On fortunately, the sacred rule of unanimity was invoked. There was no consensus on certain words in the draft document. Some heated argument follow and the peace effort suddently collapsed. The three day meeting ending without any statement, not even a short note to acknowledge that the meeting had taken place.
