Après des mois de discussions délicates le décor est posé à Paris pour une conférence internationale sur le Cambodge. Réclamée par le prince Sihanouk, elle se réunira du 30 juillet au 2 août, elle sera coprésidée par les ministres des affaires étrangères français et indonésiien, MM.Roland Dumas et Ali Alatas. Le travail sera ensuite poursuivi en commissions.
