Forces supporting the Coalition Government of Democratic Kampuchea (CGDK), which was in conflict with the Vietnameses-backed government of the People's Republic of Kampuchea (PRK) headed by Mr. Heng Samrin, claimed to have launched a number on successful military operation. In early 1984 against PRK troops and the Vietnamese Army in the area around Tonle Sap lake in Western Kampuchea, including attacks on four provincial capitals.
