Summary / Abstract :
|
Apart from brief references to the arrest in May 2003 of suspected members of Jemaah Islamiyah in Phnom Penh and the later revelation that Hambali (Riduan Isammudin) had spent six months in Cambodia before being captureed in Thailand, the international media have paid little attention to Cambodia's «indigenous» Islamic community, the Khmer Islam, numbering around 5,000,000 in a total population of 12-13 million.
