Khat Soeun, female, 57 years old, former district mobile. Khat Soeun, farmer, lives in Tuol Prasat village, Tumnup Dach commune, Trapeang Prasat district, Oddar Meanchey province. He was born in Peam village, Prey Puoch commune, Angsnoul district, Kandal province. Her husband៌s name is Kuy Srauy, former KR soldier of Division 801. She has three sons and three daughters. Her father៌s name is Khat and her mother៌s name is Choeun. Now they passed away. She has three brothers and two sisters. She is the first child of her family. After the coup in 1970, she gave up her study in grade 10 for primary school level (at the old time). In that time, her hometown was under insecurity from fighting between Lon Nol soldiers and KR forces. In 1972, she decided to join the revolution with KR movements in the jungle, in order to bring King Sihanouk coming back to rule the country. She also wanted to finish the war. In 1974, she came back home to live with family because she could not face working hard and difficult living condition. When KR came to take control in 1975, she was selected to work in mobile unit. One year later, she moved to work in district mobile unit and was under control of Bang Khan (elder sister Khan). With her participation, she was separated from family to live and work communally with young women in Kandal Stung district. In 1977, she married to soldier of Division. And then she followed her husband to station in Veun Sai district, Ranatakiri province. Since that time, she had not heard anything from her family. Division 801 divided into three Regiments, including Regiment 81, 82 and 83. After the collapse of KR in 1979, she escaped from the Vietnamese soldiers into the jungle. She thought that the Vietnamese would kill her if she met them. During a period of time, she had spent for many months to live under miserable living condition. In 1980, she arrived in Sector 1001, better known as Tonle Ropeou, situated in Dangrek Mountain. There, she was supported both rice and consumed materials. In 1985, she fled to Sector 1003 because the Vietnamese and Cambodian soldiers attacked KR bases along Cambodian-Thai border. After KR fought to control Anlong Veng in 1990, she came down from the mountain to live in O-Thom. She then moved to Tumnup Dach. When the Cambodian soldiers attacked Tumnup Dack via Trampong through Preah Vihear province, she fled to O-Svay. Before the integration in 1998, she came to live in Tumnup Dach. Soeun mentioned that Tuol Prasat was named Phum 89 (village 89) following the name of Regiment 89. Now Tumnup Dach commune consists of six villages, Tuol Char (Phum 81), Tumnup Dach and Tuol Pungro (Phum 84), Chey Nivat (Phum 85), Sen Sok (Phum 86) and Tuol Prasat (Phum 89)
