Nuon Mok, male, 71 years old and lives in Tuol Prasat village, Tomnop Dach commune, Trapeang Prasat district, Oddar Meanchey province.
Mok was born inTaing Krasao village, Taing Krasao commune, Santuk district, Kampong Thom province. Mok៌s father is Nuon Toek and his mother, So Suong. Mok has six sisters and two brothers.
In 1971, Mok joined the KR by the village chief and Mok served as a soldier. The KR sent Mok to have political training in Kampong Thmar. Sou was a trainer and he also was a chief of region 42. Mok was sent to Watt Cheung Prey in Pha-Av village, Kampong Cham province after one week training. Mok was in Battalion 53, Regiment 53 and Division 1. Oeun was a chief of the Division.
In 1974, Mok was promoted to be a chief of a company. There were around 100 soldiers in his unit. Mok was in Ba Sith and Eth Reus battlefields. Mok was injured when he led his soldier fighting against Lon Nol at Kilomet # 6, outskirt of Phnom Penh. Mok was hospitalized in Preah Ketomealea Hospital almost for one month after the KR entered in Phnom Penh in April 1975. Aftermath, Mok returned his division, which stationed near Chroy Changva bridge. In late 1976, Saroeun selected Mok to join with Division 801 and he went to Ratanak Kiri province with the Division.
In 1984, Mok and his soldiers climbed up Dangrek Mountain at Tonle Ropeou. There, Mok joined a new Division 802, which a former special unit of Division 801. When the Vietnamese took over Tonle Ropeou, Mok ran to Kor 7 within Thailand territory. Aftermath, the KR sent Mok to operate in Santuk and Kampong Svay districts of Kampong Thom province. In 1987, Mok moved to join with regiment 89 of Division 801. [Ta] Pin was a chief of the regiment. The KR also sent Mok to Kampong Cham, Prey Veng; and Svay Rieng provinces.
In 1993, Mok returned to live in O-Thom, Anlong Veng district. In 1998, the KR integrated with the Cambodian government and Mok moved to Tuol Prasat village. Current, Mok is a retirement soldier.
