Samrith Ly, was arrested by commune unit in Tuol Bram battlefield in Prey Veng province, on November 19, 1974. Samrith Ly, confessed that he first joined the Khmer Communist in January 1974, as a militiaman in Samraong commune. He and other partisans, 18 people in total, was assignat by chief of commune, to raid National Army in Tuol Bram battlefield. Then the fight occured, and Samrith Ly, got injured and captured.
សំរិត លី ត្រូវបានកងយោធាផ្នែកសឹករងខេត្ដព្រៃវែង ចាប់ខ្លួនបាននៅ ថ្ងៃទី១៩ ខែវិច្ឆិកា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៤ នៅសមរភូមិទួលប្រាំ។ សំរិត លី សារភាពថា ខ្លួនបានចូលខ្មែរកុម្មុយនិស្ដដំបូងបង្អស់កាលពីខែមករា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៤ ដោយមានឋានៈជាកងឈ្លបប្រចាំសង្កាត់សំរោង។ សំរិត លី ត្រូវបានប្រធានសង្កាត់បញ្ជូនពួកខ្លួនមានគ្នាទាំងអស់ចំនួន១៨នាក់ ឱ្យមកត្រៀមស្ទាក់កងទ័ពជាតិនៅសមរភូមិទួលប្រាំ រួចក៏បានប្រយុទ្ធគ្នា។ នៅខណៈពេលនោះ សំរិត លី បានត្រូវរបួស ហើយខាងកងទ័ពជាតិ ក៏ចាប់ខ្លួនបានតែម្ដង។
