Summary / Abstract :

Vietnam divisions were driving north, south and east of Phnom Penh, apparantly to throtpe or capture the Cambodian capital. Cambodian Primier Pol Pot, hinted that his government might abandon the city. One European diplomate in Bangkok said: I would not be surprised if Phnom Penh was evacued soon and the government took to the countryside.
