Summary / Abstract :

The new Indochina war has become a sore point in the continuing rivalry between China and the Soviet Union, the respective allies of Cambodia and Vietnam. But the VS as the Carter now seens to recognize, has no major strategic interest at stake. The country does not automatically belong on Cambodia's side just because its new its friends in China would like it there for an anti-Soviet demonstration.
