Ousted Cambodian leader Pol Pot and Ieng Sary, the powers behind the most radical revolution the world has seen, go on trial in absentia in Phnom Penh on charges of genocide. The refugee say all inhabitant of the cities including the ill, the dying and pregnant women, were marched out of the cities and many of them died.
