|
Directly after the Vietnamese invasion of Democratic Kampuchea in January 1979, the Pol Pot government anounced a change in its former policy. A new United Front was to be formed with democratic and patriotic elements, that is for the first time, in what was previously called Indochina «Communist» would share power with nationalists on an equal basis.
