Khmer Rouge soldiers have mounted an attack on Vietnamese positions south of here, in an attemp to retrake their Phnom Malai strong hold seized by Hanoi troops. The attack sparked firece fighting which contiued into its second day opposite Ban Khlong Nam Sai.
