The Vietnamese backed government in Phnom Penh has said for the first time that it is willing to talk directly with the Khmer Rouge about a political solution to the Cambodia conflict. We will allow the Khmer Rouge party to have a role in the negotiations and a role to play in the solution, Premier Hun Sen told the Los Angeles times.
