Prime Minister Hun Sen of the Hanoi-backed government in Kampuchea was quoted yesterday as saying he see no role for Japan in a peace settlement for his war-ravaged country. Japanese Foreign Minister Sosuke Uno offered to pay for an international peacekeeping force to under pin a Kampuchea settlement when he attend an ASEAN conference in Bangkok last month.
