Summary / Abstract :
|
For its part, the Khmer Rouge demanded that Vietnam "unconditionally and totally" withdraw its 90,000 - 100,000 soldiers in Cambodia. The Vietnamese forces invaded in 1978, provoked by cross-border raids launched by the Khmer Rouge's then-ruling Pol Pot faction and the put in power Hanoi's own Cambodian allies, led by president Heng Samrin.
