During the past several year, UN resolutions on the Cambodian issue have not helped in resolving this conflict. On the contrary, they have created confrontation between Southeast Asia Nations and the Cambodian parties. It is regrettable that the ASEAN countries did not accept the above-mentioned proposal made by Vietnam and Laos.
