A row has broken out following the sale of three stolen Khmer statues for more than 500,000 (pounds) at Sotheby's in London. It invades a personal plea from Prince Norodom Sihanouk's government-in-exile to sir Geoffrey Howe, the Foreign Secretary, which apparently went missing after being delivered to the British delegation at the UN in New York.
