Ten year ago, acting in self- defense and in response to a call from the Kampuchean people, Vietnamese volunteer troops jointly with forces of the Kampuchea People defeated the Pol Pot aggressors and smashed their genocidal regime. Since 1982, in agreement with the PRK, Vietnam has withdrawn the major part of its Volunteer troops.
