More than 10 years ago, exercising their Legitimate right of self defence to protect their territorial integrity and punish the polpotist aggressors, and at the same time responding to the appeal of the Kampuchean National United Front for National Salvation and the Cambodian people, the Vietnamese army entered Cambodia and fought together with the Cambodian revolutionary armed forces and people to smash the Pol Pot regimes to save the Cambodian people from the catastrophe of genocide and to stamp out a hotbed of war in Southeast Asia.
